Overview
Amanda is an independent performer and clinician. She has been a snare drum performer at Universal Studios, Disney, PASIC 2019, the 2014 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, and numerous corporate event shows, such as the Miss Florida Pageant. She was winner of the 2018 "Hit Like A Girl" competition. She was director of Western Carolina University's "Purple" Drumline from 2018 through 2019, and has taught many marching percussion clinics in the southeast, including Walton High School, University High School, Bellview High School, Swansboro High School, Old Bridge Elementary, and Tuscola High School. She was WCU's Summer Symposium Percussion Clinician in 2018 and 2019. She was the honorary judge for Costa Rica's Marching Arts Fest in 2017, and Hong Kong's 8th Percussion and Marching Band Competition in 2018.
Amanda is recognized throughout the social media community as a result of the snare drum videos that she produces on her social media handles, totaling over 1 million views. She has been featured in collaborations with BYOS, AJ Drumz, The Grid Book Series, Old Bridge Elementary Drumline, Casey Cooper, and was a winner in Vic Firth’s 2017 global "Rodger Carter SRC JAM" video. Her bachelor’s degree is from Western Carolina University, and master's degree is from California State University in Los Angeles. She enjoys composing, specifically for film/TV, and working in the music technology sector. She is a producer at CineSamples Inc., a music technology company that produces orchestral libraries for composers. She is also a session player on movie/game soundtracks.
